The East Coast Open, Saturday 17th June .

The East Coast Open was held on Saturday 17th June .
This competition was inaugurated in 1975 as The Fassaroe Rifle and Pistol Target Rifle perpetual trophy and has been competed for in most years since
It is now competed for as the East Coast Open .
It has in its history been won no less than 10 Times by our own member Sandy W.
The Day started quite fine but just as shooting started at 10 am the heavens opened and this continued until 12.30 mercifully there was very little wind .
Scoring was a little difficult as the targets were saturated and needed very careful handling .
This year we had a small but elite band of competitors with 5 A class shooters .
Sadly we East Coast did not hold the trophy this year it was won by Sean B of the Defence Forces Shooting Club
Second was Siobhan S DURC and 3rd Terry W of the Defence Forces .
Sandy W Came joint first in class A
The day concluded with prize giving with tea and scones with jam and cream and some nice pastries.
Thank you to all who took Part and our visitors who took all the Prizes .

The next scheduled shoot is a crossover shoot in July date to be decided .
