PISTOL COMPETITION REPORT Sunday 30th October

MONTHLY PISTOL COMPETITION REPORT

30 OCTOBER 2016.

My thanks to Maurice B and Mark for stepping in to conduct this months’ competition for me. By way of a change this competition was a modified NRA Slow Fire format using novelty targets with a Halloween motif, and it proved a popular change to the more formal shoots! Basically the course of fire was NRA Slow Fire 15metre format using the novelty targets instead of the NRA quality items. A record nineteen entries were received on the day in the two categories of rim fire and centrefire which is very encouraging and as such I must record here my warmest thanks and appreciation to all who turned up on a Bank Holiday Sunday to shoot.

HPS was 300 and results are tabulated below. Congratulations to Sean for a long awaited FIRST PLACE in Rim Fire and also to Dave C and Frank for second and third placings. Noteworthy also was the ding dong fight for fourth place with only four points separating the next three competitors!! Well done again to Frank B for his winning start to this seasons’ centrefire competition, with Pat P. in second and Eddie K. in third places.

Next shoot 27th November 2016, first shots away at 1030hrs.

Paul F,

Pistol Section Coordinator.
