A Grand Day Out-with thanks to Wallace and Gromit.
Seven members of our club visited the MNSCI Range in Tullamore to take part in the second NASRPC shoot to be run this year. We arrived at various times from 9:00 a.m. onwards and departed at various times from 3:00 p.m.. Most of us shot multiple disciplines of Rifle or Pistol competitions. I shot 6 and had enough time to get between ranges where required. This was a perfect day out. Well organised by the MNSCI team with support from the NASRPC team as regards score recording for the National Leaderboards.
It was really nice to connect again with competitors from Cork to Donegal who I have not seen since last year. The facility is multi faceted with short range pistol ranges from 10 to 25 Metres, Gallery Rifle ranges from 10 to 50 metres and Centre Fire ranges from 100 to over a 1000 metres.
The accompanying photos give a flavour of the event. I recommend that all shooters, whether club members or not, look at the NASRPC schedule of events for this year and consider entering at a range near you. See schedule below.
