MONTHLY PISTOL COMPETITION REPORT
18 DECEMBER 2016.
For this month’s shoot the T&P1 (Modified) format was used which is adjusted to be usable by pistol shooters and gallery rifle aficionados – who in fairness haven’t had many competitions in recent times. The format called for double-handed timed and rapid fire shooting at 25 and 15 yards and single handed shooting at 10 yards. A total of twelve entries were received on the day in the three categories of rimfire pistol, centrefire pistol and gallery rifle which is a good number of entries but with Christmas approaching there were probably other more pressing draws on peoples time. My thanks and appreciation to all who turned up to shoot, I enjoyed myself and I hope that you did too!
HPS was 300 in all three categories and results are tabulated below. Congratulations to Frank B. on a fine shooting performance and a well-deserved FIRST PLACE in both the Rim Fire and Centre Fire categories. Second place was just ten points behind him and third and fourth had only one point separating them! Ed P. won a closely contested Gallery Rifle competition, pipping the u/signed BY ONE POINT!!! CLOSE, and good shooting, Ed!!
The first pistol competition of the New Year will be held on Sunday 29 January 2017 with first shots away at 10:30hrs.
