MONTHLY PISTOL COMPETITION REPORT 27 NOVEMBER 2016.
Once again I must tender my thanks to Maurice B, Kevin B and Mark for stepping in to conduct this months’ competition for me These stalwart heroes are shown in the top photo above.. This month we reverted to the tried and tested NRA Slow Fire format. The targets are shown on a variety of backgrounds on the bottom photo above. A total of fourteen entries were received on the day in the two categories of rim fire and centrefire which is very much a standard attendance these days and encouraging for the continuance of the Pistol Section monthly shoots. My thanks and appreciation to all who turned up to shoot, I hope that you enjoyed yourselves!
HPS was 300 and results are tabulated below. Congratulations to Maurice B. on a fine shooting performance and a well-deserved FIRST PLACE in the Rim Fire category with Frank B posting a close second place just two points behind, and Cathal C. not for away either in third place!
Well done again to Frank B for continuing his winning streak in this seasons’ centrefire competition.
CLUB CHRISTMAS SHOOT REMINDER:
The annual Club Christmas Shoot is scheduled for 11th December 2016 with first shots away at 1000hrs. Entry fee is €20 and bring a gift-wrapped prize to minimum of value €10; all proceeds go to local charities, more details on the club website.
NEXT PISTOL SHOOT – NOTE WELL PLEASE:
The next monthly pistol shoot would normally fall due on the 25th December 2016 – the last Sunday of the month- but I realise that this would be tempting fate somewhat so the last pistol shoot of the year will be brought forward to Sunday the 18th December 2016 with first shots away at 1030hrs. Keep practicing and see you then!
