NASRPC National Shoot August 9/10th
This shoot was held on our range this past weekend, offering many Rifle and Pistol disciplines. We had 56 entries across the disciplines and the ranges were busy most of each day.
Firstly, I would like to thank the participants, who travelled from all over Ireland to take part. It is no mean feat to drive from Kerry or Donegal to take part in a competition. 4 hours on the road does not help concentration, so I admire the dedication of competitors who undertook such journeys . I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and shot to the best of your abilities.
Our new office helped the work flow, providing space for registration, payment, walk ins, scorings and general activities. My own personal experience is that I enjoyed it more than in previous years, mainly because no backlog built up as the days progressed. This was primarly because the registration process, run by Johny and Alanah was very quick and efficient. Following this, the receipt and entry of results , handled by Sandy, Sean M and Bryan was especially speedy. We kept up to date with all scoring and data entry throughout each day so that there was no pile of targets to be processed after shooting had finished. I would also like to thank the Range Officers, on both the Rifle and Pistol ranges for the way they welcomed our visitors and kept the details changing on time as the day progressed. Thank you To Hugh D, Brendan M, Keith F, Tamas S, Paul F, Dermott M, Rex C, Cathal C, Dave C, Dave H, Nick F.
This is a once a year opportunity to do our bit for the NASRPC and show off our facilities.
