MONTHLY SHOOT 28th APRIL 2018
The weather continued to go easy on us this month and a much improved turnout registered for this month’s T&P 1 format competition, which is an inclusive format allowing for rimfire pistol, centrefire pistol and gallery rifle to shoot alongside each other.
Congratulations to Cathal C. for winning the three categories of Centrefire (open sights), Gallery Rifle and Rimfire (Red Dot). Cathal shot three point off the HPS, which is impressive! Well done to Sylvester for his victory in rimfire open sights category and congrats to Pat C. on his very close second place in a tight gallery rifle section where he was beaten by one point! There were also a number of close results for second and third places in the rimfire open sights category, which were separated by the number of ‘X’s scored by each competitor. My thanks to everybody who took part in the various categories and tried their hand!!
My warm thanks once again to the team that stepped in to conduct this shoot in my absence, especially Mark O’D for transporting the targets and score sheets to the range and to Mark and the Range Officers who conducted the shoot and scoring.
Next shoot is planned for Sunday May 2018, first shots away at 1030hrs, and we’ll be using the NASRPC 25 Precision format.
