Pistol Competition Report Sunday 26th February

PISTOL COMPETITION REPORT

26th February 2017.

Storm Ewan came to town and the shooters stayed away this morning – and who can blame them! Atrocious/challenging shooting conditions made for difficult going but high scores were recorded nevertheless. This months’ shoot used the T&P1 format, shot two handed with an HPS of 300 points. T&P1 is fired over three distances 10 metres, 15 metres and 25 metres. Thanks to all members who took the trouble to travel and compete, and to Maurice who stood in for me to conduct the competition.

A highly competitive shoot ensued in the rimfire category with only eleven points separating the first four competitors! Tight shooting! Congrats to Cathal on his impressive win in the rimfire category, shooting 282/300HPS, highly commendable and an emerging force to be reckoned with in the rimfire category!! Frank B. went home the centrefire winner again this month shooting an impressive 277/300. Congrats once again, Frank!!

The next competition will be held on Sunday 26th March 2017 at the Club, first shots off at 10.30a.m.

Keep practicing and see you at the club!
