Pistol Competition Report: December 2015

This morning saw a very good turnout of twelve entries to compete in our monthly pistol shoot. This mornings’ shoot used the T&P1 (Modified) Competition format shot at 25, 15 and 10 metres. The weather favoured us with cool, and calm but dry conditions and all seemed to enjoy the challenge.

Thanks to all who took the trouble to travel and compete and my thanks to Dave C. for supervising the second line, and Cathal for scoring the first tranche of score sheets, it helped achieve an early competition result. Congrats to Dave C. on his win, who landed ten of the thirty rounds inside the ‘ten’ ring (with three ‘X’s) and another ten rounds in the nine ring – tidy shooting indeed. A tight field competed in the rim fire category for second place, separated by X scores – well done Maurice! Congrats also to Cathal C. on another centrefire win!

The next competition will be held on Sunday 31st. January 2016 at the Club, first shots off at 1030a.m.

I wish a Happy New Year to one and all in East Coast! See you on the range in 2016!!
