MONTHLY PISTOL/GALLERY RIFLE SHOOT 30 DECEMBER 2018
This was the last monthly pistol and gallery rifle shoot of 2018 and it brought out an all-time highest turnout of 18 competitors to participate. This is the second shoot incorporating the newly convened Gallery Rifle Competition and today we had our first ever centrefire gallery rifle entry!! In all we recorded 24 entries which made for a busy and active range. A big ‘Thank you’ to Pat C. who took over as Range Officer and released me to shoot. Volunteers are always welcome and I commend the forthcoming NASRPC-sponsored Safety and Range Officers Course to be conducted in HILLTOP RANGE on 12 January for those who feel that they could contribute to this vital aspect of club activity and act as Range Officer on a club ‘line’. RO’s are vital especially when the NASRPC Shoots come to the club as we the host club must provide the requisite number of RO’s from our own ranks. The tables below list the winners in the various sections and congrats to one and all on their shooting. The next Club shoot is the Field Sporting Rifle 50 Metre Prone and 50 Metre Precision Rifle Shoot planned for next Sunday 06th January 2019. The next scheduled monthly pistol and gallery rifle event is scheduled for Sunday 27th January 2019, first shots away at 1030hrs, and we’ll be using a new format, GP40 (Modified) which is a suitable format for pistol and gallery rifle competitions. This fast shooting format uses a different target and semi-automatic and lever-action rifles can be used so bring your long guns, all are welcome!
