Gallery Rifle and Pistol Monthly Report 29th September 2024
The Sept SOTY competition was held on 29/09/2024. The discipline was 25m Precision. We had 11 shooters and 16 entries. It would have been 12 shooters, but someone forgot the bolt for their pistol, a mistake I will not make again! It was a reasonable turn out, considering the weather . It was a bit cold and windy and we finished just as the rain started. Shooting from inside does have its advantages. The competition proceeded without any problems, so thank you for that. A reminder to shooters – Please have your stapler and pen with you for competitions, it makes the details run smoother and on time. We still have people turning up as if it was their first shoot and this is frustrating for the ROs who have enough to do running the details. Rant over.
So the good news is M F won the SBP beating RC by 5 points. Well done M, congratulations. Hopefully the new Ruger 1022 will bring wins in the rifle section for you. RC won the OSBP.
The next competition will be on 27th Oct and will be T and P 1. Hopefully the weather will not deter you from coming.
