MATCH REPORT NASRPC IRISH OPEN AT FERMOY RIFLE CLUB
05TH -07TH JULY 2024.
The weekend of the 05 to 07 July saw the NASRPC Irish Open staged at Fermoy Rifle Club in challenging weather conditions of showers and a gusty wind.
In between showers, shorts were the appropriate attire!
The range was in excellent condition, newly expanded car park, manicured grass areas, new SILS target holders and stop butts all looking like ‘new’ with a fresh coat of paint all round!
Four members of East Coast made the journey to compete, Anthony F, Marie F, Emmanuel K and Paul F, ECSC Chairman! A full spectrum of competitions were entered by all four in pistol, gallery rifle and prone rifles (of all types.) Results are attached to this mail and reflect the effort and skills of our four competitors considering they were up against shooters from all over Ireland, UK and Germany. Total results take was five GOLD, four SILVER, six BRONZE with nineteen PERSONAL BESTS included.
On Saturday night there was a gala dinner and prizegiving to the winners of the Gallery Rifle Smallbore Team (to IRELAND) and Gallery Rifle Centrefire Team (to GERMANY). The raffle draw was also held at this event and East Coasts tickets came out of the bag TWICE, Kevin Byrne’s ticket came out for the Bergara Rifle and Frank Brophy’s came out for the 2000 rounds of ammunition and entry fee’s for next years’ event in Fermoy!! So next year be sure to order and pay for your ticket well in advance – it could be YOU! My thanks to all who bought tickets!!
