Spring 2026!

On the drive down to the range today, between the turn off from the Ashford to Roundwood road I noticed that the fields on either side of the drive were full of new born Lambs.  They were gambolling but staying close to their mothers.  It was a pleasure to be deep in the agricultural heart of county Wicklow.

The  photo below shows the next evidence of the Spring awakening. When checking the Archery range before commencing practice, a fawn was discovered behind the targets. We regularly see Deer on our range so the people who saw the fawn knew that the best thing to do was to leave it alone and wait for the mother to return. This is what we did so there was no archery today.
