Saturday Shooting 19th July.
SATURDAY SHOOTING
The sixth bi-monthly summer Saturday shooting day is 19th July.
There is a “Crossover” Rifle competition that day (see notice circulated separately and to
which rifle shooters will be welcomed), however ordinary members’ individual shooting
can be fitted in on the parts of the ranges not being used for the match.
The ranges and times available are as follows:
• RIFLE:
o The competition will occupy firing points 1-7 most of the day.
o Firing points 9-11 may be used by individual rifle shooters, but they will
have to adhere to the competition detail timings. That will be an
approximately 30min cycle – shooting 20mins; target change 10mins.
o The range will be open 10:00 – 13:00. If there is anyone present at 13:00
wishing to continue this will be permitted if a RO is available.
o Anyone not turning up until after 13:00 runs the risk of finding that the
range has closed and therefore being unable to shoot.
• PISTOL:
o Shooting will be restricted to smallbore only, fired from within the building.
NO CENTREFIRE
o The range will be open 10:00 – 12:00, at which point it will close for works
to be carried out.
o The works will primarily be spreading fresh sand on the backstop. Any
volunteers staying/coming down to help will welcomed.
• ARCHERY
o First arrows away 10:30.
o It will be an ordinary practice day..
• There will be NO SHOTGUN SHOOTING
The sessions are intended for members with their own equipment.
Club guns will not be available, nor will club ammunition be on sale.
Target sales on an exact change cash basis only.
Unaccompanied Visitors cannot be catered
