MONTHLY PISTOL/GALLERY RIFLE SHOOT 26 MAY 2019.
A windy mild morning greeted the members to-day with sunshine developing throughout the morning time. We had a good entry of 16 shooters which made it a busy range with lots of good shooting.
The format was the tried and tested NASRPC T&P 1with 30 rounds required to meet the HPS of 300. A big ‘Thank you’ to Hugh D. who took over as Range Officer and released me to shoot.
The tables below list the winners, congrats to Bronagh on her fine win in the rimfire pistol/open sights category. It was also good to see (and hear!) the centrefire chapter back on the range once again!
There was another club record set in the gallery rifle section with Paul F. shooting 300.020 (300 with 20 X’s) he also set the previous record of 300.017. Good to see records falling during the 50th anniversary year!
The next Club shoot is the Field Sporting Rifle 50 Metre Prone and 50 Metre Precision (50P) Rifle (Standing) Shoot planned for next Sunday 05th June 2019, first shots away at 1030hrs.
The next scheduled monthly pistol and gallery rifle event is set for Sunday 30th June 2019, first shots away at 1030hrs, and we’ll be using the NASRPC 25P format. This is a steady shooting format of ten rounds in three minutes, fired three times for score; there is one ‘sighters’ serial before the scoring match. This format is suitable for all types of rifle so there will be a gallery rifle category also.
See you on the range!
