Gallery Rifle and Pistol Competition Report: January 2015
The first competition of 2015 was shot in mild and calm conditions which proved very favourable for gallery shooting purposes. Although it clouded over during the morning it didn’t spoil the day.
Once again a high number of entries ensured a busy morning for the Range Officer with a total of sixteen entries being registered for the three categories of Rim-fire Pistol, Centre-fire Pistol and Rim-fire Gallery Rifle. Again we used the T&P1 (Modified) format for this months’ shoot, with the new DP1 targets once more seeing some action.
Results are copied below, the HPS of 300 was achieved by Maurice in the Gallery Rifle category and was chased closely in the other two categories – well done to those high scoring competitors as well as Cathal for his success in the Centre-fire Pistol Category!
Thanks to all who turned up, and helped with RSO duties and scoring, it all kept the competition moving along. Congrats once again to Maurice on his HPS, it’s not every day that happens in the club!
The next competition will be held on 22nd February 2015 at the Club, first shots off at 1030am.
