Pistol Competition report Sunday 26th March

PISTOL COMPETITION REPORT

26th March 2017.

The weather really turned up for us this morning with blue skies and light or NO winds combining to make for a very warm and pleasant spring morning on the range!! This months’ shoot used a new target type and is used a ‘Slow Fire Multi-Target’ format, 30 rounds were shot two handed at 25 metres, six rounds on each of five targets, and the HPS was 300 points. In a change from the usual scoring principles, outward scoring was utilised but, in view of the lower than usual scores recorded, we might revert to inward scoring in the next and subsequent competitions in the interests of everybody’s mental balance!

Thanks to all members who took the trouble to travel and compete. It was a low number turnout but with Mothering Sunday we were always going to find it hard to compete!!

Frank Brophy won both centrefire and rimfire categories with impressive scores as listed below. Congrats once again, Frank!!

The next competition will be held on Sunday 30th April 2017 at the Club, first shots off at 10.30a.m.

Enjoy the good weather, keep practicing and see you at the club!
